Enter march, the last month of the season, and for us the start of the semi-final phase of the A.C.A championship Yesterday, we began the championship round in style, dishing out a hiding to the hapless Takapuna A. To think we lost to them early on this season, you would struggle to see how on our current form. Liam finally won the toss and we managed to get a bat first for a change. The result - 40 overs later we posted a ludicrous 330/8. Our highest ever score. Chris Saunoa has been a revelation this season. He posted his 2nd century in the last 3 games (105), and with Liam Clarke (80) they posted an opening partnership of 141 in 11 overs! The chase was stating the obvious, pretty damn hopeless. Gavin and Jarrod took 2 wickets each. The result was never in doubt after they were only 39/1 after 10 overs. The final damage, a victory by 98 runs. We need just one more win, to claim a home final berth in 3 weeks time. The second championship round is next weekend. We travel to 'sunny' Seaside park to take on Indian Sports Club (A.I.S.C). ginge. P.S; Rob, who married at the weekend, is away on honeymoon for the next couple. yeah good timing robbo. We'll still fine your ass! :)
