Despite the weathers best efforts to stop us, we notched up a great first win at the weekend against East Coast Bays. After bowling the visitors out for 167, we cantered home in 14 overs, to win by 7 wickets. Aaron Taylor took to the bowling with ridiculous ease, hitting 7 sixes in his 74! Earlier on in the afternoon Rob Good and Mike Mamae took four wickets each in a much improved effort. Even the fielding was up to scratch this time. The rain then promptly thundered down while we got on the piss. Who cares - we're on the board! Our next game is a round 6 clash with the Auckland Indian Sports club this weekend (dec 8) In other news ... * The Papatoetoe First Grade team host the final of the One Day competition against University this coming sunday at the rec. It was a tense semi victory against Howick/Pakuranga last week, helped no end by Jamie Graham taking 7 wickets while defending 184. Go the prems. After getting cancelled last week by wet grounds, we were the only grade in the club to complete our game at the weekend. While we finished in the rain, all the other grades couldn't complete their matches ginge.
